Girls Leadership Academy
We are partnering with the high-profile Lincoln High School’s Center for Social Justice to establish a mentoring program for ninth-grade girls who exhibit leadership potential and a desire to positively affect society. Our leadership academy will nurture three things: our heads, our hearts, and our hands. To feed our heads, we will host book clubs and a speaker series on various topics of interest to the mentees. This speaker series will be open to the public and feature local agencies and dignitaries as panelists. With our hearts, we will connect with our mentees and provide contacts for them in our networks based on their stated personal goals. Lastly, with our hands, we will sponsor a community service project inspired and led by mentees. The idea is to “pay it forward.”
