Homeless Art Project

Published by admin

We would like to further our efforts to put a “name and face” on homelessness through an art show which would feature the artwork and photography of San Diego’s homeless community members. One of the ways in which we would like to undertake this project is to work with the Monarch School, and co-venture a “homeless kids with cameras” project. This would help raise awareness about the perspectives and reality of every-day folks who find themselves one paycheck away from being able to pay rent and ending up on the streets. 100% of the proceeds would go directly to the displaced artist to help get them and their families off the streets.

If you are interested in this developing this project, send an email to Rachel’s attention at girlsthinktank@gmail.com.
