Literacy in San Diego
On Sunday, May 4, 2008, Girls Think Tank will form Team GTT. Proceeds will benefit The San Diego Council on Literacy. Our team will be made up of members, friends, and sponsors. GTT members will pay the entry fee for their sponsee. The sponsee is a youth participating in a school organization or club and who is looking for ways to reach out and feel a part of San Diego’s community. The long term goal of this project would be to have a 6-week training program with coaching for sponsees at a local track, such as San Diego High. This years’ event will be our first annual team GTT Race for Literacy and we won’t be asking for individuals to make any donations other than their entry fee and possible choosing a sponsee. Come join us.
